Alright sorry I took so long for this but if everyone can have their slide done by Friday and their page done by Monday we will have enough time to get it together. The assignments will be very similar to the PDR, but we really should overhaul everything. Make everyhting EXTREMELY detailed and dont miss a thing. A good grade on this is very important to all of our grades.
Massimo
- Hull Structure detailing the hovercraft's shape, materials, and the construction method.
- Construction and Testing plans. Include how we plan to put it together and in what order, along with what we plan to address in the testing stages and how we plan to test it. Also include resource allocation and any decision points that might need to be addressed. THIS IS FOR THE HULL STRUCTURE AND SKIRT ONLY. RYAN HAS THE REST
Ryan
- Levitation including the sizing and selection of lift fan, and also prove that the fan can meet the requirements (use Greg's calculations).
- Construction and Testing plans. Include how we plan to put it together and in what order, along with what we plan to address in the testing stages and how we plan to test it. Also include resource allocation and any decision points that might need to be addressed. THIS IS FOR EVERYTHING ON THE DECK ONLY. MASSIMO HAS THE REST
Sohna
-Lessons Learned. Identify any lessons your team has learned after participating on a multidisciplinary team required to engineer a highly complex product. What would your team have done differently if given the opportunity?
-Appendix of calculations
Mikhail
- Propulsion with the sizing and selection of out propulstion systems (i.e. placement and why we think that having the fans there is optimal, also acceleration rates with Greg's calculations)
- Power and batteries sizing and specifications, also proving that the power will be sufficient (Greg)
Ben
- Sensors and Actuators, meaning how they will be set up, why the setup will work, and also how the actuation will work.
- Control Algorithm with your choice of flow chart or pseudocode.
Cody
-Preliminary Design Shortcomings. Provide a descriptive list of each design shortcoming identified in the preliminary design concept. Document details of any analysis or testing completed to identify design flaws. If applicable, identify any erroneous assumptions made in the preliminary design stage.
-- Construction and Testing plans. Include how we plan to put it together and in what order, along with what we plan to address in the testing stages and how we plan to test it. Also include resource allocation and any decision points that might need to be addressed. THIS IS FOR EVERYTHING IN THE CIRCUIT ONLY.
Meghan
- Bill of Materials that lists all parts and costs. Also address miscellaneous costs like glue and extra wiring. Be detailed Cumings stressed that to the team leaders. Also include how much we have already spent.
- Final Gantt Chart
Nick
-Product Performance. Provide an analysis of how well your hovercaft met the product specifications set forth. If your product failed to meet one or more of the specifications, describe what went wrong and what could be done to fix this problem. Describe how well your team followed the product development process, explaining in detail the level of success achieved at reaching each of the global milestones set forth.
Greg
- Our calculations man! Most important is weight, center of mass, everything that ensures that the levitation fan will work, acceleration, and proving that the batteries will provide enough power. We will probably have to include an appendix at the end to detail all of your calculations.
Me
-Introduction/Overview/Benchmarking, which would include our project goals in context of design specifications, challenges that must be addressed for a successful design, and benchmarking exampled. I am also doing the
-Executive Summary, which includes project goals and how to achieve them, along with an outline of our design choices.
Some of us will also have to meet and finish the design drawings for the new skirt and fan.
Have the powerpoint online ASAP and definitely have the written portion done by Monday, we shouldn't be writing it at the meeting
